About Mines

Spribe released Mines. Theme: minefield. The provider lists an RTP of 97.00% and player-chosen volatility. These figures give a rough idea of the game's character, but a short session can go either way.

How it works

A 5×5 field hides between 1 and 24 mines, and you choose how many. Each safe tile you open raises the multiplier, and you can take the money at any moment. Open a mine and the bet is lost.

More mines make each step riskier and the multiplier grows faster. The RTP stays the same whatever the number of mines.

Technical data

These are the provider's standard values. A casino can choose a different RTP version: open the game and check the info (i) section.

How much Mines costs to play

An RTP of 97.00% means that over the long run 97.00 ₼ comes back for every 100 ₼ bet. A short session can swing far either way, but this is how the «price» of the game works out:

Features

• choose 1 to 24 mines
• cash out at any step
• autoplay
• provably fair

How the features of Mines work:

• Mines uses a provably fair system: the round's result is locked with a hash in advance and can be checked afterwards.
• The game's settings set the risk: the number of mines, rows or the difficulty level. High risk gives big multipliers, but winning rounds are rarer.

What to expect from the volatility

In Mines you set the risk through the target multiplier. Low targets win often and pay little; high targets win rarely and pay a lot. The RTP stays the same either way.

Bet by budget

A rough rule for Mines: keep each bet near 1/100 of the budget. The table turns that into concrete numbers:

Playing Mines with a bonus

Crash and instant games are often excluded from bonus terms or count only a small percentage towards wagering. Check the game list in the bonus rules before playing Mines. When playing with a bonus, watch the maximum bet limit, usually around 5 ₼. Before taking a bonus, work out the wagering in the calculator: turnover builds up fast in Mines, and so do losses.

Demo and real money: the difference

In demo mode Mines runs on the same maths as the real game: RTP, volatility and features do not change. The difference is that you play with virtual credits and cannot withdraw winnings. The demo shows the pace of the game and how often the bonus comes, but a few hundred spins are not enough to predict a result.

Mines on a phone

On a phone Mines is the same as the desktop version: RTP, features and bet limits do not change. Only the interface differs. If the casino has an app, the game works there too, and you can try the demo on our page.

Common mistakes

What players often get wrong in Mines:

• Raising the risk after a win: earlier rounds do not affect the next one.
• Going too many steps: each step raises both the win and the chance of losing.
• Paying channels that sell «strategies».
• Sharply raising the risk to win back a loss.

Is Mines worth playing

Short answer: Mines is a good choice for players who want to control the risk themselves; everyone else should look at more dynamic games. Decide after the demo.
